Frequently Asked Questions
- 01Our main address is 95 South Hanover Street, Pottstown PA 19464.
- 02There is parking surrounding the building. Free Discovery Center parking AND our entrance is on the South Street side of the building.
- 03Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays : 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Thursdays: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays: CLOSED Large Field Trips can be scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays. Off Hours parties available upon request.
- 04Our opening plans for the Discovery Center will be for ages 2-10. We also plan on expanding in the future to older children, with a maker space, building area.
- 05In order to experience everything the Discovery Center has to offer, we would plan to spend at least 2-3 hours, but you're welcome to stay until we close.
- 06Tickets are $10 / person for anyone ages 1-99.

- 08We take Cash, Debit Card, and Credit Card.
- 09Yes! We encourage you to take as many photos as you'd like. Please be sure to tag us on Facebook or Instagram. Our handle is /pottstowndiscoverykids
- 10From time to time, our staff members may take photos and post them to social media or our website.
- 11For the safety of our staff and guests, we recommend you stay home if anyone in your family is feeling sick.
- 12As an Autism Certified Center, we can support sensory needs in a number of ways, including noise cancelling headphones, sunglasses, a quiet room for children who need a break from the noise, and more. A more comprehensive list will be coming soon, including a sensory guide for each exhibit.
- 13Yes! We love to host birthday parties at PCDC. Email Karen@pottstowndiscoverykids.org to book your event!
- 14Yes, we have a small gift shop with t-shirts and snacks that can be found in the lobby by the check-in desk.
- 15We have an area in the Discovery Center for stroller parking. We strongly discourage taking strollers through the exhibit areas.
- 161.) Tell everyone you know, and get excited! 2.) Donate! Opening a discovery center is not a cheap project. We want to offer the best we can to your children and every dollar donated goes directly to PCDC exhibit and operating expenses! 3.) Volunteer! Joining a committee to participate in fundraising, planning events, use your skills to help further this project! Volunteers will be in great need once a building is secured and in need of paint/renovation. Contact us to learn more about how YOU can help or fill out this form to be added to our volunteer list!
- 17There are tables and chairs provided in the programs room that are available for a snack if needed. Food is not permitted anywhere else in the building.
- 18If for any reason you need to leave the building during your visit, let the check-in staff member know.
- 19Any type of shoes are okay to wear but shoes must remain on at all times while playing in the Discovery Center.
